yum! i love purple broccoli! it tastes so much more than the green sort. and the salad looks divine - it must be fabulous having nuts from a tree you know!
Hi Joker, I think the best sprouting broccoli is the stuff you get in March, the really old fashioned varieties. But this was pretty good although we had to peel the stems a bit to stop them being tough.
It's very disappointing that we only have one walnut tree on the farm and that's in a pretty bad state as they need to cross pollinate for a good crop. I think by the time the seedling tree has caught up the old one will be dead but as long as my Zulu friend is nearby I'm sure he'll share the nuts from his trees.
