joker - that crust is a cheat. It's made of granary bread. Cut the crusts off your favourite sliced bread, roll it out with a heavy hand and a rolling pin. Naturally, it will go flat.

Lightly butter and ease it, butter side down, into a muffin cup or other metal tray. Crisp up in a hot oven for 10 minutes before filling with your cooked mushrooms. You can pop the whole thing back in the oven for another 10 minutes to keep warm while you do the peas and lettuce.
